About Eric2112

I don't have my $450 rent to pay.I've been on medical leave for over 3 months now.I don't have any income since June 2010.My rent is late after today.I tryed several churches in the area,no luck.I live alone with pain and depression. My cats are my best friends.I get some food stamps lately which helps.I'm crying and so sad.I'm a 43 yr old man.I'm so afraid of whats going

I need $450 rent for Sept and $145 power bill, can anyone help me please??I'm actually still an employee of a large Cable TV Company.I used my 12 weeks of FMLA leave up already.I applied for short term disability which was denied by Prudential. It appears the family doc dropped the ball and his 1 lady office staff messed me up.They didn't return records from past doc's and return calls to Prudential. So,they denied me on July 8th.I can appeal with say an attorney. They want it to if so go into long term disablity if I can't work. They get 33%.They want nothing up front. But the paralegal said it could take 9 months before I possibly won anything,if let go then I'd have to Cobra my health insurance with United Healthcare at a high monthly cost to keep the case with attorney moving forward, and pay my bills with no income or unemployment either?I beleive even if they lose,I still owe some fees, expenses to attornery.I have 180 days to appeal, its already been 60 days of that and the clock is ticking if i go that route.Like long term pays 60% of my $42,500 a year salary, minus the attornies again at 33%.I see same family doc,he's like a Santa Claus nice guy-older,but limited staff.I wasn't sure since I was new to him and the area in early June(moved here in Feb 2010),weather it would have messed up claim that was denied anyway,if I had just switched doctors.I've had 3 MRI's from last month, neck, brain, lower back.I applied for food stamps and waited 30 days and they approved me for $200 a month, helps some.I have an  EBT card good thru end of year before they would want to re- review things. My employer at Bright House Networks hasn't let me go yet,but I'm outside the only protection in Florida with the FMLA leave act, protected position for 12 weeks.I'm at like 14 weeks out now.The position I do is very stressful being in charge of all Cable TV plant construction, running crews etc.,permits, power poles, developers calling,city-county-state stuff for 2 counties. The manager isn't a nice person.I transfered and went over there heads because they wanted a friend to have it with maybe 5yrs to my 20 yrs in cable tv.So,I'm actually in fear of returning to an impossible job to maintain.I had neck surgery 10 years ago, pain more in May,also headaches that are blinding, depression. If I don't go back on Oct 4th,I'm pretty sure they will let me go.Maybe because it would then be no fault of mine(medical reasons)they would grant the max in florida for unemployment at like $275 per week. But,If I go the appeal route with the Cavey-Barrett PA firm in Clearwater,Fl.then i can't apply for unemployment. You have to ready to work and not sick or disabled to get unemployment.

to happen.I live in New Smryna Beach,Fl. ebattles2112@gmail.com

About lynnettemarie

Hello, I am a 49 year old working womam. I recently have been dealing with several financial issues due some unfortunate situtaions, these issues are not related to neglect of my responsibilities. I have found that as working adults, unless you have children under the age of 18 or are responsible for a dependent adult, or 65 and over or disabled your self that there are no programs  or agencies to help. It is as though you get penalized because we work eveyday. any suggestions
